A Nation of Immigrants

Saturday, March 18, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

$5.00 – $26.00
A Nation of Immigrants concert from the Boulder Chorale

Celebrate the stories from our nation’s rich tapestry of cultures!

President Barack Obama said that we are all “A Nation of Immigrants.” This concert will bring some of the musical culture of America’s immigrants to the stage, beginning with a tribute to our indigenous peoples.

Violinist Leena Waite will play a Ukrainian Requiem, and there will be choral, solo, and piano repertoire from Brazil, China, Ireland, Mexico, England and India. Leonard Bernstein is featured in “Take Care of This House.” We honor the African-American community with Moses Hogan’s thrilling “My Soul’s Been Anchored in the Lord.” We’re joined by an ensemble of fantastic world musicians.

Pre–concert talk with Dr. Vicki Burrichter and guests at 3:30 p.m.

Concert generously sponsored by
